The final game on Sunday pitted the Bulldogs against a notoriously strong local team. I of course wanted to see the Bulldogs prevail and as far as I'm concerned they did. The goalie was right on his game, even stopping shots with his face mask! The forwards blazed their way through the opponent's lines and deked the West Hill goalie out of his skates a few times. The only thing that saved the West Hill team was a couple of goal posts that got in the way just when they needed it. Those tenacious Bulldogs did pretty well this weekend. From what I hear this tournament ended a loosing streak and gave these guys their first win as a team. And they went on from there to almost trounce the #1 team! What I liked most about watching all the games the team played this weekend was seeing the great time the kids were having out there. If I had a seven year old in hockey right now this is exactly the sort of group I'd want him to be playing with. The Bulldogs coaches and parents are doing a perfect job of keeping the game fun for the players (and photographer too). I'm inspired, enough that I think I should quickly get to work on producing another seven year old hockey player to join in the fun too!
